We’ve got foot stomping music and award-winning lined up for your evening.
Cultivated on the porches and back yards across the tracks on West King Street in St. Augustine, Florida, the West King String Band‘s sound is rooted in studious interpretations of traditional bluegrass, mastered by the likes of The Del McCoury Band, Bill Monroe, and Old & In the Way combined with the energy and drive of their rock and roll idols, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, even Black Sabbath to name a few. While developing their sound as a unit, the band began to focus on songwriting. The outfit has since taken their manic, upbeat riffs on the road and have embarked on several national tours and recorded multiple EP’s. Their first full length album, “Achin'” (released in August of 2016) captivates their original sound and features both foot stomping songs full of energy and technique as well as slow bluesy grooves accompanied by lyrics dripping with sarcastic sadness and discrete humor. Their next full length album is currently in the works and will be recorded August 2017 in Nashville.
The food truck this evening is El Pollo Submarine.
